Nokia Partners with China Mobile and It's 600,000,000 Subscribers

According to Nokia's executive VP Colin Giles Nokia will be partnering with China Mobile for it's Windows Phone launch. China Mobile is the country’s largest mobile phone operator, with more than 600 million subscribers that account for about two-third of China’s total mobile phone market.

This is the first official announcement that Nokia has made about a carrier partner for Windows Phone devices. It is not shocking at all that Nokia has picked China to be first out of the gate. Nokia still does quite well in China and still remains the top handset maker, this move would help Nokia maintain it's lead and China and help fend off cheaper Android devices.

Nokia still has not given an exact timeline for it's Windows Phone launch, however it remains committed to launching a Windows Phone device in 2011. My best guess would be Nokia World 2011 at the end of October.
